Detailed description and features of the model:

Drivers: Ken Miles, Denis Hulme
By the afternoon of June 19, 1966, all three front-placed cars were occupied by Ford. In the final hours of the race, Henry Ford II ordered the three GT40s to cross the finish line together for a media-friendly photo. Although Ken Miles objected and was leading Bruce McLaren's GT40 (starting number 2) by almost four minutes, he went along anyway and waited until Bruce McLaren and the third-placed car of Bucknum and Hutcherson (starting number 5) had closed the gap. But what Henry Ford didn't know was that the regulations didn't allow for ties, so in such a case the car that covered the longest distance during the 24 hours wins. The car of Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon started 20 meters behind that of Ken Miles and Denny Hulme. And even though Ken Miles would have won the race by a wide margin and set several track records, he was classified as second.
