    The Audi 200 quattro was used in the Trans-Am series in the USA in 1988. It was Audi's first factory race car for circuit racing since the 1930s. It was intended to demonstrate the performance of the quattro drive in circuit racing and simultaneously strengthen the market position in the USA.
